Full Bleed (Edge-to-Edge Printing)
Full bleed, or edge-to-edge printing, is when your design or image extends all the way to the edges of the final printed piece, without any white borders. To achieve this, the printer prints on a larger sheet of paper and then trims it down to the desired size. This is necessary because printers cannot print all the way to the edge of the paper. The extra margin (bleed area) ensures the final cut leaves no unprinted edges, giving your design a clean, edge-to-edge look.
